I know I've made it hard by running for two charities this year but they are both worthy causes, and both need funding. Although many donate to the Riding for the Disabled Association in general, each individual group then has to fund themselves.

If you are unsure of which group to donate to, or do not have an emotional tie to one of the other, I would ask you to please split your donation in half and give half of your sponsorship to each.

Thank you

A bit about me

I've been riding since i was about 4 years old, a rode weekly until i was about 10, mainly at the three greys riding centre.

My first pony - Martha

After we moved from Sussex to Essex, the only riding i got to do was an afternoon activity once a week at school.

After i left school i found a local yard to help out at which eventually led to a job as a stable hand on a livery yard with thorough breds, brood mares, their foals and a few privately liveries.  Whilst i was there i also worked as a groom as part of a wedding horse and carriage service.

I've gradually done a little bit of this and a little bit of that with my riding over the years.  Each time we would go on holiday I would try and find a trekking stables.  I've been across the Breacon Beacons, Dartmoor, beach rides.

At Cannock Chase horse Trekking in Staffordshire

A beach ride....somewhere.....i can't quite remember

Last year i had a taster session at polo which was fine in terms of riding but i felt like my shoulder was going to drop off from the mallett/stick.

I have also completed my Bronze, Silver and Gold Young Equestrian Leader awards between the ages of 20 and 25.

In terms of running i have run the Brighton Marathon twice before; 2011 and 2012

2011
2012

Plus a couple of 10Ks along the way.....

I also abseiled down a water tower to raise funds for Bambers Green as well a few years back

Other than that my interests include going to the gym (Les Mills Classes mainly), gardening - i love growing my own fruit and vegetables and i also love doing things of a crafty/arty nature - such as throwing eggs filled with paint at a canvas - Try it, its very therapeutic!
